Biographies
David S. Post, CFA, Principal Managing Director, David founded Llenroc Capital in 2006 after 23 years in the investment management industry. He has been involved in the research and selection of US stocks for his entire business career, including fourteen years running investment research departments and chairing the investment committee for two multi billion dollar assets under management firms. Prior to establishing Llenroc, David was a partner, portfolio manager and director of research at Harris Bretall, a $7 billion San Francisco growth-focused investment advisor where he worked for eleven years. Previously, David was a portfolio manager and director of research for three years at Hanson Investment Management, a $2 billion growth at a reasonable price (GARP) focused investment advisor located in Marin County, California. Prior to moving to California, David was a research analyst and portfolio manager for four years at Brundage, Story & Rose, a $3 billion value focused investment advisor in New York City. Prior to graduate business school, David researched equities for three years at Vector Capital Management, a $100 million New York City investment advisor. He received his BS from Cornell University and his MBA from Columbia University. David is the head of the investment committee and Board Member of the Marin Symphony.  He lives in Tiburon, California with his wife and three children.

Roland D. Underhill, Managing Director, Roland joined Llenroc in 2009 after more than 45 years in the investment business in Los Angeles, New York, and Marin County, California. He was a General Partner with Lateef Investment Associates from 1994 to 2007 during which time firm assets rose from $189 million to over $5 billion. From 1991 to 1994, Roland  was a Principal and Senior Vice-President at Van Kasper Securities, a San Francisco-based brokerage firm, where he did research, brokerage, corporate finance and managed the Los Angeles office. In 1989 and 1990, he was a Principal and co-founder of Wilkinson & Underhill, a small Los Angeles investment management firm. From 1985 to 1989, Roland helped manage Concord Partners, the venture capital arm of Dillon Read & Co. Early in his career, in 1961, Mr. Underhill entered the securities brokerage industry with Hill Richards & Co., a Los Angeles-based brokerage house until 1964 when he joined Crowell Weedon & Co., another Los Angeles based firm, in a similar capacity. By 1967, Roland was named Head of Research, and in 1969 he was elected a General Partner in the firm, where he remained until he resigned in 1985 to go to Dillon Read & Co. Roland has made numerous contacts in various industries and companies and in Wall Street and he has analyzed hundreds of companies, met with an enormous number of company managers and personnel, and extensively networked all these contacts. Roland brings this wealth of experience to Llenroc for the benefit of our clients. Roland earned a B.S. in Accounting & Finance from UCLA where he was a 3 year letterman on the UCLA Basketball team under legendary coach John Wooden.

Michael Tannenbaum, CFA, Managing Director, joined Llenroc Capital in 2007.  Michael has been employed in the financial services industry his entire professional career spending the early part of his career in market making and proprietary trading on Wall Street. As a consistently profitable market maker and proprietary trader, Michael made a simultaneous two sided market in approximately forty large and mid-cap stocks trading over 300,000 shares a day; proprietary trades typically employed $1 - $2 million in firm capital in capital structure, technical, and option volatility strategies. In addition, Michael trained incoming traders and organized the company’s on-campus recruiting.  Prior to joining Llenroc, Michael received his MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. There, he Co-Chaired the Investment Club and ran the Investor Speaker Series class while studying accounting and investment theory. Michael’s investment philosophy has been influenced by Richard Thaler’s writings on behavioral investing and Carlo Cannell. Michael is the Co-Chair for annual giving for the graduating class of 1996 of Haverford College. Michael lives with his wife and daughter in the Oakland hills.

Bonnie G. George, Chief Operating Officer, joined Llenroc Capital in 2009 after more than 30-years in the investment industry. Prior to joining Llenroc, Bonnie was Chief Operating Officer at West Highland Capital, Inc., a California registered investment advisor with peak assets under management of more than $1 billion, from 1997 to 2005.  Her primary responsibilities included operations manager, client relations, financial accounting, and cash management.  In 1996, Bonnie was Chief Financial Officer at DDJ Capital Management, LLC, an investment firm with $650+ million of assets under management and responsible for all operations.   From 1986 to 1995, Bonnie was Chief Financial Officer for Paul D. Sonz Partners, a West Coast registered investment advisor.   From 1983 to 1986,  Bonnie was a partner at Gordon, Forte Management Co., an investment advisor/hedge fund, with responsibilities of establishing all operational procedures.  Prior to Gordon, Forte, she worked at Robertson, Stephens & Co. from 1978 through 1983 reporting directly to Paul Stephens. She began her career in the securities industry in 1975, and worked for the compliance and trading departments at Montgomery Securities. She lives in Marin County with her husband.
